Realtor Marketing On The Internet

i’m a realtor and nee marketing tools that work (and are free) i just starterd.

something to consider in your approach…when handing out business cards or flyers / direct mail to a given area…be sure to focus on things that are relative to that area. What really grabs peoples interest is when they read about something that is relevant to them…like…the homes in the area rising 10K in value over the last 6 months.

Most realtors tend spend most of their advertsiing time and space telling about themselves. ..which is impoortant to communicate..but not the priority.

be a problem solver…an authority in your feild of expertise….and that is what will attract money to you.

The market is slow but I don’t see my realtor doing anything marketing-wise to make up for it. She refuses to spend money to market our house in other areas of the vicinity and says the MLS will bring a buyer. It’s been 40 days and no one has called about our house in 2 weeks. We requested that she put our home in local newspapers but she keeps advising against it. If we had activity on our house, I wouldn’t be concerned. But it’s been 40 days and I think we need to change our marketing plan.Our realtor is doing enough marketing, so what the heck are we paying her for? Does anyone have any suggestions? We are paying 2 mortgages now and need to have this house sold. It’s already at the right price too.

Unfortunately the contract has to run out first. Wait til the contract runs out and then try to do a private sale on your own and forget these high paid realtors.

Create a monthly newsletter, get involved in community groups, and tell everyone you meet about your services. Ask people what they think about your marketing material and find out what the general perceptions of Realtors are in your area–address them and SHOW them how you are different. Find out what your competition is NOT doing and do it (Yahoo Answers is a great place to start a focus group)! If you need help, let me know. my method of advertising and marketing will change the whole game of selling a property at a bettter price. Problem: realtors and/or owners have a hard time seeing the advantage….its like they dont want to be up to date with change.

Your best bet is to spend some time and effort in making your information available. You may want to have your method copyrighted if it is unique. Then spend some time getting flyers out to the real estate offices in your area. Start local and then expand.

Remember two things:
1- Rome was not built in one day.

2- Realtors and home owners are reluctant to spend money on an un-proven method of selling. They want as much guarantee as possible on the investments they make.
